Bringing this stranger-than-fiction phenomenon to life was a trial-by-fire where I essentially taught myself how to edit in real time. My workflow began by writing a script, then boarding the narrative beats and generating still images, cutting and timing them directly to the documentary voiceover track as a spine before generating video. Blending that final AI footage with authentic historical newspaper clippings required relentless curation: for every frame that made the final cut, hundreds of failed generations, awkward limb artifacts, and broken camera moves were discarded to keep only the most evocative shots. The film was graded against classic 1960s black-and-white B-horror cinema, hunting for high-contrast chiaroscuro shadows, tactile grain, and an eerie atmosphere that grounded the surreal technology into a exploration of living, chilling history.
