PROCESS
The film started from simple stills: the model on a clean, light studio background. From there I pushed the camera in to an extreme close-up, so the whole film lives on the lips and everything depended on texture. The focus was skin that looks like skin and a gloss that catches light naturally rather than looking painted on. The product was kept consistent across every shot: the same shape, the same deep shade and the same finish, so it reads as one real lipstick from start to end. The stills were animated into short sequences, with shallow depth of field to keep attention on the lips and avoid the flat AI look. Final edit and upscale were done for vertical social, where the reel went on to pass 47,000 views on Instagram.
