ABOUT
Created for Accounting for Nature, “Nature’s Scorecard” turns the complex challenge of measuring nature into a simple global idea: if sport has a score, why shouldn’t nature? The 90-second hero film moves from cinematic wildlife into a surreal world of sport, with animals competing across football, cricket, tennis, swimming and other globally recognisable events. Scoreboards and broadcast graphics gradually reveal the bigger message: while business measures almost everything, nature is often missing from the scorecard. Absolutely AI developed the creative execution from the campaign concept through to final delivery, including scripting and narrative development, storyboarding, AI production, animation, voiceover, sound, compositing, editing and finishing. The campaign was supported by social cutdowns, vertical and horizontal versions and a suite of campaign stills, creating a complete visual world around the idea.

PROCESS
Scripting and narrative development were a major part of the production. The film needed to move naturally from the beauty of nature, into the sporting metaphor, then reveal the problem and finally explain Accounting for Nature’s role without becoming overly technical. We refined the voiceover, sequence of reveals and visual beats throughout production so the message remained simple while the film continued to feel cinematic and entertaining. The visual world was developed in significant detail. Each animal, location and sporting scenario had to feel believable within the same campaign while still being unexpected enough to hold attention. Species and habitats were carefully considered for ecological and geographic accuracy, while scale, movement, wardrobe, stadium environments and animal anatomy all required close control throughout the AI production process. We then combined the generated footage with more traditional commercial craft, including compositing, animated scoreboards and data overlays, editorial, sound design, music, voiceover, colour and final mastering. A major focus was consistency across the wider campaign. The hero film established the visual language, which was then carried into social cutdowns, vertical adaptations and a series of highly detailed campaign stills. The result was a premium global campaign that made an abstract subject tangible: using storytelling, humour and familiar cultural references to explain why nature needs to be measured with the same seriousness as every other major business metric.
