This was my winning film submission for Runway's Gen48: Aleph Edition last fall. We had 48 hours to make a short-film using runway and I wanted to tell a cyclical story with a subliminal message. Using Runway Aleph on raw-camera footage, changing/adding elements into the scene or transforming them, was a highly unique and transformative experience as a creative for me.

PROCESS
There was a ton of iteration and sifting in the beginning. Which frames looked exactly how I wanted them to. I remember iterating a lot on the tree-on-fire shot, as I wanted a particular shape for the fire and the smoke, akin to a mushroom cloud shape of a Nuclear explosion, to foreshadow the world-ending threat that is about to follow.
