The idea A film called Starving that ends on the words "I am full." It's a 60-second self-portrait about artistic identity: the loneliness of making things, not quite connecting with people, and realizing that the worlds you build are the richness you were looking for. The structure The film is built as two bookends: The opening: a cold, red-lit room and a violent '70s crash-zoom onto me saying "a starving artist." The ending: a warm, firelit medieval feast. I sit as king while characters I've created walk in, take their seats and raise a toast. The last line lands on a bite of a chicken leg: "My worlds are rich, filled with characters I love, and I am full."

PROCESS
I wrote the voiceover across nine drafts before a single frame was made. Key frames were designed as stills, then animated shot by shot with AI video generation. I'm on screen, so my own face and voice anchor the piece. The voice was directed line by line for delivery. Sound design, including the crash-zoom boom, flash hits and the final chomp, was built by hand in post rather than generated. Why it's on my reel It's the clearest look at how I direct: a concept locked before generation starts, strict creative rules and a structure that pays off in the last second.
