ABOUT
A 60-second AI-native narrative short blending science fiction, mythology, and cinematic world-building. The film follows Amina, a writer confronting rejection and self-doubt, as a closed door transforms into a portal to the worlds her imagination can create. Built through character and shot planning, generative image creation in OpenArt and Nano Banana Pro, motion with Kling AI Omni, and finished in Adobe Premiere Pro with editorial pacing and sound design shaping the emotional arc. Finalist — OpenArt AI Film Competition

PROCESS
I began by developing Amina’s character, backstory, and environments, then built the shot list around the film’s emotional progression from rejection and self-doubt to possibility and creative freedom. For each key moment, I generated multiple visual and performance variations rather than treating the first usable output as final. I evaluated generations for composition, camera intent, character performance, lighting, environment, continuity, and whether the frame actually advanced the story. Weak compositions, inconsistent characters, visual artifacts, and shots that felt impressive but didn’t serve the emotional arc were discarded or regenerated. Still imagery and character references were developed with OpenArt and Nano Banana Pro, with motion created primarily in Kling AI Omni. I then shaped the final 60-second film in Adobe Premiere Pro through editorial pacing, sound design, and finishing. Rain, thunder, music, and the transition into the imagined world were all used to reinforce Amina’s emotional shift rather than simply decorate the visuals.
