This film started from a single generated image that stuck with me: two friends standing around a cluster of colorful orbs. That image alone made it easy to build the rest of the narrative around it: a fantastical "field trip" where nature operates one level above reality, tipping into surrealism. From there, almost every scene was intentional, very few boarded ideas were dropped before the final cut. The real Patagonia garments were the anchor that kept the piece tethered to something tangible. Set against something this surreal, dressing the characters in actual product was a deliberate choice. Proof that a commercial film doesn't have to trade away sensitive craft for the sake of the brand.
