A 30-second spec commercial for NVIDIA in the new generation of Windows laptops. Some computers answer questions; NVIDIA's were built for the ones nobody could answer yet. From the data center to a laptop on a desk at night, and the brand lands in a dead stop of pure silence before the music slams back. Directed, written, voiced and scored by me. Spec ad, not affiliated with or endorsed by NVIDIA.
PROCESS
NVIDIA is 16:9, 1920x1080, 24fps, 30 seconds. It is built on NVIDIA's mission of computers for problems ordinary computers cannot solve. The track has a 1.5-second dead stop, and the whole spot is designed around it: the picture cuts to black, the brand is spoken out of pure silence, and the music slams back on the next shot. To make that land clean I removed the breath before the word, measured to the hundredth of a second. 'Weather. Medicine. Worlds that don't exist.' were recorded with real pauses so each word lands on its own shot: the storm, the protein, the floating world. Partner laptops keep their own maker's design and the NVIDIA lockup appears only as the official full logo on the end card, per NVIDIA's brand rules.
