The Inside Cats travel the world as a jazz band, which gives them the cover they need to steal back artifacts from private collections and museums and return them to their original owners. Their popularity turns them into folk heroes.

PROCESS
This property was originally developed as a pitch for Frederator Studios and was later repurposed for the Annecy Festival in France. The idea was to bring back the fun, energy, and adventure of classic Saturday morning cartoons. Throughout the process, we generated images of the cats and refined their designs to find the unique visual identifiers that worked best for each character, giving every cat an unmistakable personality at a glance. We wanted to combine the action and excitement of adventure movies with the heart and warmth of a feel-good cartoon. Drawing on our background in professional animation, we used traditional storyboarding techniques and dynamic character poses, then brought those ideas to life using Seedance. For nearly every frame we ultimately used, we generated two additional versions that were discarded because the action didn’t read clearly enough or the continuity wasn’t accurate enough.
