The story follows a giant monster who matches with someone online, becomes overwhelmed by first-date nerves, and turns the evening into complete chaos. The absurd twist comes when her seemingly sweet date abruptly ends the encounter by dropping a piano on her head. A surreal visual comedy built around the closing message: “Leave the drama to fiction.”

PROCESS
The process began with a short script and a beat-by-beat storyboard designed around contrast: a nervous, vulnerable monster placed inside an increasingly chaotic first date. Before generating motion, I defined the characters, environments, scale relationships, and visual language needed to make the final twist feel unexpected but coherent. I developed and refined the keyframes in Nano Banana, using reference images and targeted edits to preserve character identity across different angles, expressions, and locations. The main visual challenge was maintaining the monster’s appearance and enormous scale while keeping her performance expressive and emotionally readable. Multiple images were discarded because of anatomical distortions, inconsistent proportions, or unwanted changes in the characters and environments. The selected frames were animated in Kling and Seedance. Each shot required separate testing of body language, facial expressions, camera movement, interaction, and physical action. The restaurant sequence and final piano impact were especially iteration-heavy: the motion had to remain visually clear while preserving the comedic timing and absurdity of the scene. The final stage focused on editing, pacing, sound design, and color grading. Every shot was selected and adjusted to build tension progressively, then release it through the unexpected ending and the closing message: “Leave the drama to fiction.”
