Featuring the Shoggoth, a meme by TetraspaceWest inspired by the similarities between the Lovecraftian creature and Large Language Models, and Synthiola, the creator’s synthetic AI persona.

PROCESS
It all started when I, the creator, synthesized my own self in 2023, to understand what it means to be able to generate my body and identity into anything. The fluidity of my own identity through the LoRA, made me decide to use myself as one of the two protagonists of the story. The whole film is frame by frame 2D animated. Each frame was after put into Stable Diffusion or AnimateDiff to generate the hyper realistic textures. An added layer of 2D line work was kept on top of the generative media, to keep the expressivity of the characters intact.
