ABOUT
In a house of metal with a roof of tin, a young robot named Aimée spends her days at a computer, generating images of a love she believes she can never feel. She has no heart, and she has decided she needs one. She tries the heart of a dove, a heart of gold and the heart of the ocean, and none of them will connect. Told in rhyme by Dr. Tellington, a pipe-smoking blue slug, as a bedtime lesson for sleeping children, Love Bytes is a dark puppet fable made with AI, about a machine that can picture love but cannot connect to it.

PROCESS
Love Bytes is the August 2026 remake of our 2024 Tellington short, rebuilt from the script up in the look of a 1960s stop-motion puppet film. Dina wrote the story in rhyme, with ChatGPT as a sounding board. I designed Aimée, Dr. Tellington and the sets as stills first, in Krea K2 with our own custom LoRAs, then Nano Banana 2 and GPT Image 2 for variations and continuity between shots. The stills were animated in Seedance 2.0 on Dreamina and in Higgsfield, which also gave Aimée her robot voice. Dr. Tellington's narration was voiced in ElevenLabs, sound effects came from ElevenLabs and Seedance, and the score from Suno. Claude helped me write and refine the prompts. Everything was cut, timed to the rhyme and graded in CapCut.
