PROCESS
Blackwood was designed as a proof-of-concept psychological noir thriller centered on Detective Harry's unraveling investigation into an organ syndicate and the asylum reality beneath it. We boarded the narrative transitions and character blocking first to enforce strict shot-to-shot continuity rather than relying on isolated beauty prompts. Across hundreds of generations in Kling 3.0 , less than 10% made the cut, prioritizing raw micro-acting and motivated shadow play over sterile perfection. In post , I cut the original 6-minute assembly in half to deliver a relentless 3-minute final cut, discarding dialogue-heavy exposition in favor of visual storytelling. The final picture was graded against classic monochrome noir references for a gritty, analog film texture, paired with a custom score built in Suno and manually mixed and finished in Davinci.
