ABOUT
What if we treated Norway the way we treat internet products? Make something wonderful. Get everyone to use it. Then fill it with ads, premium upgrades and services nobody asked for. This AI-generated satire turns Norwegian landscapes into commercial experiences: Preikestolen becomes a luxury sky bar, Geiranger a branded water park, and the Atlantic Road a drive-through. Familiar scenery and ordinary visitors make the absurdity feel uncomfortably plausible. Created for LinkedIn, with a fictional Preikestolen Skybar website extending the concept. Concept, visual development and final film by John-Ivar Eidsmo.

PROCESS
The idea transfers a familiar internet-business pattern into a place people already care about: Norway’s landscapes. Each location becomes a fictional commercial product, with its own branding, service offer and visitors trying to navigate the result. I developed the visual world around three recognisable settings: Preikestolen, Geiranger and the Atlantic Road. Generated environments and character scenes are cut together as a straight-faced tourism film, letting luxury hospitality, water-park branding and roadside retail gradually overwhelm the landscape. The final piece combines AI imagery and video with editing, graphic titles and sound. A fictional booking site for Preikestolen Skybar carries the joke beyond the film.
