ABOUT
Timelines is a hybrid live-action and generative AI short film exploring memory, identity, and the different paths a life can take. The film moves between photographed reality and generated worlds, using AI as a way to move through alternate memories, possibilities, and versions of the same life. Built around music from Univore’s album Timelines, the project combines traditional filmmaking with generative image and video workflows. Timelines was an OMNI Film Festival nominee and won Best AI Hybrid & New Media at the AI Film Festival Tirana (2026).

PROCESS
Timelines was a long, highly iterative process. I photographed myself extensively in live action and built detailed contact sheets from that material, which I used as references to accurately recreate my likeness across the generative sequences. The workflow was designed around moving seamlessly between real photography and AI-generated versions of the same character and world. As the man begins to lose his grip on reality, the film increasingly weaves between live action and generative AI, making it intentionally difficult to tell where one ends and the other begins.
