ABOUT

The Same Eye is a cinematic short film exploring a simple idea: the act of seeing is not ours alone. Across different species, environments, and moments, the film moves between predator and prey, stillness and motion, instinct and tenderness. Eyes that hunt. Eyes that wait. Eyes that simply exist, aware of light, of presence, of others. In the end, the perspective shifts. What begins as observation becomes something else. This is not just a film about nature. It is a film about perception.

PROCESS

THE SAME EYE was made 100% in Kling 3.0, in native 4K, for the Kling AI 4K Short Film Contest, where it won the Silver Award. It is built like a wildlife documentary, but it isn't really about animals. It's about looking, and about the moment the gaze turns back on the one who watches. Every shot had to obey the grammar of nature films: long lenses, patient framing, natural light, no camera move without a reason. That way, when the reversal comes, it lands on familiar ground. Working inside a single tool was a deliberate limit. Without other models to fall back on, every shot had to be solved through the prompt and the edit. The hardest part was the eyes: keeping each one alive, wet and focused, rather than glassy. I generated about 250 takes and kept 25. I threw away anything that looked too spectacular. A real wildlife cameraman waits weeks for a single shot, and the film had to feel just as patient.
