We created an AI-powered TV commercial for Bioderma featuring four renowned players from the Turkish National Volleyball Team. The film brings the real athletes together in a fully AI-generated volleyball experience while preserving their authentic identities and the energy of the sport.
PROCESS
It started with a deceptively simple brief: four players stepping onto the court. But they wouldn't be filmed. They'd be generated by AI, and they had to be unmistakably themselves. Nailing a single face with AI is hard enough. We had to preserve four identities at once, along with their jerseys, back numbers, and logos, all in the same frame without breaking one another. Then came the sport itself. Volleyball means bodies suspended in mid-air and arms swinging with a distinct rhythm. Getting AI to reproduce that movement was the toughest part. In a single shot, we were balancing more than 10 variables: identities, jerseys, numbers, logos, and motion, all working at once. So we built our method around the process. To limit variables and capture movement accurately, we chose visual-reference-assisted text-to-video over image-to-video, striking the right balance between natural motion and character consistency. When control got hardest, we turned to local animation, keeping every frame in our hands. Post-production was AI-driven from start to finish. We cleaned up courtside signage, net text, and every unwanted detail, leaving only the scene we wanted to tell. The entire project was produced on Runway, combining Nano Banana, Seedance 2, Kling, and Runway Aleph. We generated nearly 3,500 seconds of footage, hand-picked the best scenes for the edit, and processed each one individually. The result is a film where AI wasn't an "effect" but an end-to-end production language: a story of looking, seeing, and reconstructing what comes closest to reality.
