This is the first episode of Mandarin Village. Mandarin Village follows the bizarre and abstract world of the Mandarins as they attempt to get through every preposterous day. This latest crisis sees the slayer buying up all of the pies in the village, nobody would probably mind that much if the slayer actually ate the pies, but sadly, he just likes to rub them on his head. So Mandarin Villages self appointed mayor Vernon has to now find the solution….
PROCESS
The process that was undertaken in order to create this when something like this. I create and write all of my own scripts I don’t rely on AI for this. I find that the creativity is far more nuanced when I do not involve AI in this process. Given the subject matter of the output this is very important as AI is wonderful but still unable to understand nor expressed nuance in the way that I like it expressed. This has been an idea I’ve had for a long time and now it’s been realised. I use exclusively runway for this and Seedance 2.0 along with Midjourney for the images and nano on runway for some of the image alteration and editing. I use iMovie player for my editing.
