This is a still from the official music video for my song "Rent Free" that I produced with Suno. The song is a hybrid AI assisted work, as I wrote the melody and lyrics as well as performed the vocal track prompt while I let Suno do much of the heavy lifting with instrumentation and production. The song itself is a riff on classic 60s motown. Naturally for a music video I wanted to imagine a live TV performance of the song starring a beautiful female vocal starlet. Unfortunately I'm a 42 year old man so I could not be the lead. So I uploaded my photo to ChatGPT and had it reimagine me as that beautiful female vocalist. I then used a combination of RunwayML and Grok to generate a variety of still images of the performance in which I animated and spliced together manually in OpenShot. The music video used as the hook on Suno quickly went semi-viral racking up roughly 30k views in a week. The plays on the song are sitting at over 115k plays after 6 weeks opening visibility to the rest of my ever growing catalog of style parody songs.
