A man embarks on a journey to decipher the chaos within his mind with the aid of his therapist, a compassionate and insightful woman. Plagued by surreal and nonsensical dreams, he struggles to make sense of his inner world and finds it challenging to truly hear those around him. As the sessions progress, he delves deeper into his subconscious, uncovering layers of meaning and confronting the enigmatic nature of his thoughts and dreams.

PROCESS
William was never boarded. It was written first, through écriture automatique, the surrealist practice of writing in a stream of consciousness without planning or correcting. I created the dream sequences first, then assembled them as a cadavre exquis, connecting fragments that were never meant to belong together. The therapy sessions that frame the film came afterward, as a container for material that refused to make sense on its own. The film was generated almost entirely with AnimateDiff in ComfyUI, in a workflow built around IP Adapter. Rather than describing a look in a prompt, I fed the model reference images generated by Midjourney and let IP Adapter carry their texture and palette into the motion. Those references were what I graded against: a shot stayed if it still felt like it belonged to the same dream as its reference, not if it was clean. What I threw away was mostly the footage that behaved too well, shots where the model resolved into something generic and smooth. What I kept were the flickers, the faces that almost hold together, the drift from one form into another. In a film about a man trying to decipher the chaos in his own head, the instability of the latent space was not a defect to fix. It was the subject.
