A short film about a soldiers experience during D-Day landings in World War 2, and the PTSD he experiences and his longing for home. The film tries to capture the raw drama, emotion, and terror the soldiers must have gone through, offering a poignant look at the human cost of war as well as their desire to go home. The title describes the threshold state that people have described during heightened moments of conflict or during later PTSD events remembering back and where their consciousness will wander, reconnecting with loved ones and finding solace. It is also a subtle nod to being on the current threshold that we are at in Ai filmmaking where a generative film can feel just as real as that dream, and non traditional filmmakers can tell their stories with the same impact.
