DIAL is 9:16, 1080x1920, 24fps, built in about nine hours from first Runway generation to finished master. It is the fastest turnaround of the set alongside LEAF. The track runs at 148 BPM. librosa detected 293 beats across it, and the assembler builds an EDL that cuts on those exact timestamps. At 148 BPM the beat interval is about four tenths of a second, so the edit is dense and the precision matters more than it would on a slower song: a cut that is two frames late at that tempo reads as a mistake. Two rules are enforced in code rather than in the edit. No shot ever repeats: every slot in the EDL consumes a unique clip exactly once and the build hard errors if there are fewer clips than cuts. And shots whose motion is a steady mechanical cycle get retimed so one cycle equals a whole number of beats, so the motion sits on tempo instead of drifting against it. Rendered through h264_videotoolbox. Audio is stream copied from my original master and never re-encoded, because it is my song and a second encode costs quality for nothing. On 24fps: a lot of AI work gets rendered at 30 and called filmic, which is a contradiction. Frame rate is part of the language, not a setting. I shot broadcast and brand work from 2008 and I bring that eye to generated footage: composition, lens logic, contrast, and a cut that respects the track.
