Red Blue Yellow Black Again is an experimental short created in partnership with Freepik (now Magnific) that reimagines the work of photography pioneer Aleksandr Rodchenko through AI to showcase the creative powers of modern generative tools. 100 years ago, photography was largely deemed “non-art”, and Rodchenko’s snapshots challenged this misperception. This AI project reflects on what defines art and how artistic perception evolves over time.

PROCESS
Dozens of Rodchenko's original 20th-century photographs are transformed from static images into motion, creating a new cinematic language while preserving his radical visual identity. In the process, we have restructured and restyled images for 16x9 format, color-graded, upscaled, and restored the quality of original Rodchenko shots to match the tone. Many scenes have been collaged and mixed to create a new, fresh view and to match the original artistic approach. - Produced with zero production budget using only AI tools. - 50 original photographs transformed into 100 unique scenes and 1000+ video generations. - Screened at international film festivals in cinemas on the big screen. - Among the first AI films ever streamed on the global platform Roku. - Winner of major digital recognitions: Webby Awards nominee, FWA of the Day, Awwwards Honoree and Gold at Slovenian main advertising festival SOF. - Reached global audiences and industry visibility, positioning the project at the forefront of AI-driven filmmaking.
