ABOUT
Berserk is a darkly comic short film about an ordinary suburban family whose world gradually descends into something much stranger and more violent. The film plays with the visual language of idealized mid-century Americana, pushing familiar domestic imagery into surreal, absurd, and increasingly unsettling territory. The goal was to make something that initially feels nostalgic and recognizable before allowing the world to completely unravel. Berserk received an Honorable Mention at the Rome AI Film Festival.

PROCESS
Berserk went through a lot of iteration. I started by building a moodboard and developing the illustrative style in Midjourney, generating many variations before finding a visual language that felt consistent. I animated a number of shots directly in Midjourney before moving the project into LTX Studio to build out the film. One of the biggest challenges at the time was finding a video generation model that could animate the illustrative style without losing its character, so a lot of the process was experimentation and testing across models.
