ABOUT
The third of three films launching the motorola signature. A wooden artist's mannequin turns into a miniature version of me. The concept only holds if the camera keeps detail on something very small, so the idea and the product argument are the same thing rather than two things stitched together. The closing call to action is hidden in a handwritten note in her pocket, read with the zoom, so the brand's invitation arrives from inside the story instead of on top of it. Concept, script, direction, cinematography, edit and AI compositing by me. Approved and published.

PROCESS
This was the third film of a brand campaign, so it came with a brief: things the film had to show, things it could not say, and a date. Everything below happened inside that. I started with one idea: turn myself into a miniature. I had used a wooden artist's mannequin in the film before this one, so I made her the stand-in. I would shoot the whole thing with the mannequin in frame, as my reference for scale, framing and movement, and replace her with me afterwards. I wrote everything before touching a camera. Every shot I would need, in order, and what each one had to prove. Then I shot it alone, in my apartment, most of it on my Fujifilm X100V and some of it on the motorola signature: first the wider material, then the miniature's own takes, her sitting, walking, photographing, and me building the small sets she lives in, filmed as I went. Only once all of that existed did I move to the computer. Replacing her was the slow part. The mannequin had to become me at the same proportions and in the same pose, frame after frame, or the cut would come apart. That was inch by inch. Then the hand, which sets the figure upright before a fingertip arrives beside her. I directed that beat until the timing was right. Lighting at 6' was its own job, done using Runway Agent. The 3D phone turning is mine too. I downloaded the 2D images, scaled every frame to the same size and proportion, and sent to Flora build the 360 from them, then placed it on the background I wanted. Concept, script, shooting, staging, editing, AI and on-screen design. All of it mine, done alone :)
