Little Firefly is a dreamlike animated short about a little girl who wakes in the middle of the night and follows a mysterious shadow into an impossible world. What begins in the quiet moonlight of her bedroom becomes a strange journey through flight, darkness, danger, and finally, light. The film draws from the look and movement of classic 1930s hand-drawn animation, combining vintage cartoon sensibilities with modern AI filmmaking tools. I created the project from beginning to end, including concept, writing, character design, visual development, shot design, animation direction, AI generation, music, sound design, and final editing. Little Firefly is part of my ongoing exploration of how traditional animation knowledge, visual storytelling, and emerging AI tools can work together to create complete films.
