The Lost Connection is a cinematic AI short about memory, loneliness, and our need to remain connected. When a wandering woman encounters a forgotten telephone booth facing its final hours, an ordinary place becomes a vessel for everything we struggle to leave behind.

PROCESS
The Lost Connection started with the story, not the generation. I first broke the film into emotional beats and built a visual storyboard around the Wanderer Woman, the telephone booth and the idea of a final meal. I created dedicated character and environment references before generating the film, then developed each sequence shot by shot. Framing, camera movement, lighting and atmosphere were planned individually while keeping the character, telephone booth and visual language consistent throughout. Image to video generation was treated like coverage rather than a final result. I generated alternatives, selected shots based on performance, composition, motion and continuity, and discarded generations that introduced character drift, incorrect environments or movement that did not support the story. The final film was shaped in the edit through pacing, sound design, music and deliberate moments of silence. AI was the production medium, but the storytelling, visual direction and final selection remained intentional human decisions.
