ABOUT
Six-inch handmade plush characters head out into a full-size world. Tiny Travelers is an ongoing kids' series I produce and direct for Big Time Toys. Plush animals like Juniper, Ollie, Millie, Olivia and Rusty cross wobbly bridges, explore libraries and paddle canoes through real environments shot in golden-hour light. The scale is the hook: a tiny bunny beside a giant berry, a moose-sized canoe trip on a real river. Every episode follows the same arc. A nervous character takes a leap of faith, finds wonder and comes home changed. Each adventure ends with a passport stamp that ties straight to a real Big Time Toys product, so the story is also the storefront. I run the whole production solo: scripts, character design, AI image and video generation, voice, music and final edit. Several episodes have shipped, and more are in production for a 16-episode season.

PROCESS
1. Story first. Each episode starts as a script built on the series arc: a nervous character, a leap of faith, wonder, and a change by the end. I pitch the script and storyboard to the client as a deck and get sign-off before anything is generated. 2. Locked characters. Every plush character has a production reference sheet covering fabric, stitching, proportions, costume and props. I lock these before production, so Juniper looks like Juniper in every shot of every episode. A series bible keeps canon, rules and continuity consistent across the season. 3. Frames before motion. I design key frames as stills first. That's where scale, composition and golden-hour light get locked in. Motion only starts once the look is approved. 4. AI video generation. The approved frames become shots through multi-shot AI video generation. I direct each shot for camera, performance and plush texture, and re-roll selectively until everything holds up. Keeping the plush reading as plush, not fur, takes real discipline. 5. Sound. An original score is composed in the series' house style, and the narration is directed for energy and warmth. Children's chorus recordings from the client are woven in. 6. Edit, review, deliver. I cut and finish the episode in post, then take it through client review rounds and deliver the final along with short-form cuts for social.
