Worth Fighting For is a cinematic spec ad built around a deliberately ridiculous premise: an army of pig-men fighting an epic battle over a bag of black truffle chips. I created the fictional product because I wanted the prize to be as absurdly precious as the action was serious. It began as my playful response to the release of Seedance 2.0, when everyone was testing it with grand battle scenes. I wanted to make one too, but in my own style: a strange collision of manga language, surreal near-photoreal anthropomorphic pigs, and a bleak, foggy, Mad Max-like landscape. The goal was to make it feel funny and stylish at the same time, with fast cuts and the intensity of a serious action trailer. The biggest visual challenge was integrating manga effects, speed lines, impact frames, graphic compositions, and exaggerated action energy directly into the generations. I did not add those effects in the edit. I kept refining the prompts and selecting results that made the manga sensibility feel built into the world, rather than layered on top of realistic imagery afterward. I developed the characters, environments, and action sequences iteratively, then used pacing, editing, and sound to heighten the contrast between the epic scale of the conflict and the utterly trivial prize at stake. The film was created as a paid partnership with Dreamina, where I had early access to Octo, their new feature, and used it as part of the visual-development process.
