ABOUT
LA Witch is a music video for Univore’s album Timelines, imagining a strange, dreamlike version of Victorian-era Los Angeles. The film moves through a series of loosely connected vignettes set across old Southern California, from dusty canyon landscapes to ornate interiors, populated by characters who feel slightly out of place in their own world. The goal was to make something cinematic and period-specific while letting increasingly surreal and unsettling moments creep into the imagery. Created through a generative AI workflow combining image generation, AI video, editing, compositing, and traditional post-production.

PROCESS
LA Witch took a lot of iteration. I went through many generations in Midjourney developing the visual language and getting the period look right. Once I had the aesthetic dialed in, I brought the images into Magnific for refinement, character and image editing, then into Runway for animation using Kling and Seedance, which were the strongest video models at the time of making it.
